Prequel to New Star Trek Movie.

OK so the writers of the new Trek movie published a one shot graphic novel. It features Captain Data, Picard, Spock, Worf, and one or 2 other Next Gen characters. It really is a great lead in to the movie. I was trying to figure out how they were going to tie everything together and this really makes sense.
Its called STAR TREK Countdown...get it.

Green Lantern DVD

Another New U2 Album?

Hopefully this one will not suck like "No Line"

U2 lead singer Bono has told Rolling Stone magazine the band plans to have another new record out in late 2009 or early 2010.  Eno offered no further details about these new sessions, but one possibility is these are aimed at finishing that new record.  Songs of Ascent is the title of the planned LP and while most details about it are sketchy, Bono has apparently already chosen "Every Breaking Wave" to be its first single.

CSI Jumps The Shark Hard. (Star Trek Edition)

Awful.

Terminator Season (Series?) Finale

If that was the end of the Sarah Connor Chronicles at least it ended on a high note.   We finally got some action (after that whole boring Sarah lies in bed four-episode sweep) with Cameron shooting up a prison the way Arnold used to do back in the day.

John Connor wound up in the future, after Judgement Day, where nobody has heard of John Connor and Cameron seems to be a human.   The only down note was that the writers did the lame reset-button trick, and Brian Austin Green is alive in this future...totally undercutting last week's shocking bullet to the head.

Terminator is increasingly becoming "Sliders" where each earth has it's own similar but different version of history.   How long until the T-888's fight the Kro-Mags?

I hope this one comes back, but if it doesn't it is the fault of the writers who had a really drag-ass middle of the season.

If I were Fox I'd rush this one back about five minutes after the movie comes out, and just call the show "Terminator."

Atari's Adventure Easter Egg

Happy Easter!

You know the term "easter egg" which refers to a hidden something in a video game or on a DVD or such? It also started here with Atari Adventure!

Star Trek Looks Awesome

I really think they nailed this movie. I'm shocked but tremendously excited.

I've watched this clip 50 times.

WWE DRAFT

The WWE Draft is Monday. Hopefully this will make the brand separation will stick this time. Ever since the attitude era ended and the WWE's shows are now rated pg/pg-14 they have become stagnant. Hopefully there will be some really big changes and smart moves to get new feuds and the shows to feel fresh again. Maybe The Undertaker will end up on RAW and Rey Mysterio goes to SMACKDOWN. THE BRIAN KENDRICK and R- TRUTH to ECW. Evan Bourne to RAW . DH SMITH TO RAW. TJ KIDD AND NATALYA to RAW to team with DH SMITH to either form The Canadian Bulldogs or the THE New Hart Foundation so they can feud with Legacy. Its always an exciting time with the draft and I hope it delivers.

Terminator Gets Good....Too Late

I'm late on this (sorry, busy) but wow Terminator TV (The Sarah Connor Chronicles) was amazing last week.

Why?

Because like three minutes in they killed off whichever Reese (Kyle?) Brian Austin Greene was!

Not a fake death.  Not a dream.  Not something undone by time travel.  Bang dead.

Not even a heroic death.  Just a random killing by a Terminator!  Awesome!

The middle of this season was awful.  My thumb was getting quite a workout on the fast forward button what with the stupid girlfriend and hot Sarah being in bed all the time....zzzzzzz.

Then they found their way with the submarine episodes, then last week's killing!

Unfortunately tomorrow night is the season finale....and the ratings are horrible.

Let's hope Fox sees the wisdom of keeping this show around.  It would be stupid to kill it off right before a new Terminator movie which looks like it will re-invigorate the franchise (T3 wasn't that bad folks, it just wasn't as good as T2...but what third movie in a trilogy is?  Jedi? ha!).

Let's Hope This Isn't The Beginning Of The End For Jones Beach

Uh oh...because of the budget cuts, Jones Beach won't be opening the east end pool or West End 2.

Unused buildings tend to decay from lack of use and lack of love.

Jones beach has been a world class beach for 80 years.  Let's hope this isn't the start of a sad decline.  The whole Trump thing is bad enough...shut down buildings won't help.

Punch Out Demo for WII

Another Cool Star Trek Video

Awesome Clip of Star Trek's McCoy

I guess Yahoo wants all the hits themselves (and the Star Trek webmaster affiliate program still hasn't given us a single exclusive...) but this is a GREAT clip of Dr. McCoy.   Karl Urban nails it....

Adam Lambert Screwed By Sloppy American Idol Producing

For the significant portion of the audience that DVRs American Idol, they were in for a big surprise tonight when the file ended after only 7 of the 8 contestants had been televised.

Adam Lambert's performance did not start until after 9pm - so many of us, myself included, can't tell you if it was any good.

How hard is it to keep a show on time?  Divide the length of the show minus commercials by the number of contestants.  Build in some chit chat time and some extra droppable features.  Also keep a running total as you go.

The mistake this show made this year was adding Kara.  She talks and talks and talks and talks.  Go back to three judges as soon as possibe (next week?) and all this goes away.

Call 866-IDOLS-8 and vote for Adam even though nobody saw it.

Early Star Trek Reviews Are Stellar

Lost Is Lost

Lost has so jumped the shark it's scary.

Some people claim to like this season but I don't understand why.

Everything related to time travel has been a mess.

Sayid shot young Ben, so Richard has to save young Ben...and to save him he has to become an other and kill everyone and.....who cares.

I really hope somebody makes a TV show about a plane crash on an island.

It will be poetic justice in 40 years when someone does a reboot of J.J. Abrams Lost.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Trailer

seems like the tone is a a lot darker then the 1st movie.

Life On Mars Finale

The end of Life on Mars (USA) is being universally panned, with good reason.

For much of the episode I thought they were going for a Total Recall homage, and I guess they kind of were ("Quaid!")

Aside from being lame, the ending makes no sense at all.

If Gene Hunt is Sam's dad...then does Sam subconsciously want to hook up with his sister?  (Gene's hot daughter).

If he wants to be in 2008, then his memories of 1973 make no sense.   Why would he dream of 70 years ago?  The whole narrative falls apart.

Lame puns - gene hunt, Major Tom.

It's like the writers said, "How can we annoy the most people possible?"

For those who didn't watch the British version...here's how it should have ended.  Sam was in a coma.  It makes sense that he would dream of his younger self.   Sam comes out of his coma and wakes up in the present.    Then this happens....

ABC took all the fun out of the American version.  This show should have had a long run.  Too bad they (a) scheduled it after Grey's Anatomy at first and (b) had some awful scripts in the middle of the run.  Check out the BBC version next time it's on BBC America.

Fast and FURIOUS Soundtrack review from IGN

Click Above

WrestleMania 25 is this weekend.

For the 25th anniversary of the "Super Bowl" of Wrestling, It seems to be lame. I am only looking forward to 2 matches and the rest of the card is a joke.. Do we really need Mickey Rourke there? The ladder in the match is always a great match and the way they are building Triple H vs Orton is brilliant. I just have a feeling for most of the 4 hrs ill be bored with it.
