Italians Could Learn From the Irish

Happy Columbus Day.

I will salute the Italian-Americans on one thing.   You've managed to get schools and banks to close, so a lot of you get to scam a three day weekend out of this.   Well done.

That being said, you aren't using your resources.   This should become St. Patrick's Day in October.   Yes you have a parade, but it's just that.   There's no partying at the bar afterwards.    Y'all have great food - now let's add on a layer of partying and we could all celebrate Columbus together.   The Germans do a great job turning Oktoberfest into about 6 weeks of beer fun.  

Get with the program and stop taking yourselves so seriously.  Have a beer.
